The final piece of the R6 jigsaw has just arrived, the destroyed steering damper has returned from "refurbishment"but what bit was saved from the old one is a mystery.Great firm Sprint Dampers, totally new damper for just over £100!.All the broken bits on the bike are fixed but not going mad with the paint work, just a patch up job.But I have told her that if she behaves and does'nt throw me at the scenery then I'll take her to see Uncle Josh for a make over!Picked up my new leathers yesterday from www.motoshopuk.com in Swindon,he gave me a nice bit of discount and its good quality kit.I've gone with a full back and chest protector this time which makes me look like a bit of a lard arse but who cares.Looking forwards to Donny now in 2 weeks

Round 7 Cadwell Park

While the rest of the country basked in sunshine this little corner of Lincolnshire was wet, wet, wet.
All the lads did well in the Friday test,Josh crashed twice but was flyin and Daz was right up there and riding with confidence.Josh's second crash was at slow speed but did the most damage to himself and the bike but we all mucked in and got it sorted while he got the ice pack on his already swelling wrist.Bainer deceided not to go out in the rain because it was going to be dry tommorrow?,right!
Woke up with a bit of a sore head due to a good night in the bar and met Ersh at the gate who offered me a can of beer, rude to say no!.Daz had set his sights on a top five quali race finish and nearly did it in sixth,Josh won easily despite the fooked wrist and Bainer highsided in front of the grandstand, first crash in great style!.
Cadwell is a really great place for spectating so we spent the rest of the day driving the camper round watching from the roof, trying not to fall off as the beer was dissappearing at great speed. The afternoon looked like it was drying but still very tricky for the finals.Josh pulled off a great win from the in-form Frear brothers and Daz was just outside getting a signiture but had a great race with Paul Jeffery.
The only good thing about not being able to race is that you can get really drunk in the clubhouse and had great fun with all the usual suspects. On getting back to the camper our neighbours had the loudest gennie ever so we paid them back by throwing bread on their caravan roof so they got woken by crows at first light.

Round 8 Cadwell Park

""What a differance a day makes,just 24 little hours!!""
Blazing sun and heat met me when I fell out of the camper at 7.30 with a really sore head(never again!)so Tony and me went into the shade of Hall bends to watch the quali races, the 250 boys were really impressive flicking through the twisty bits.Josh got a bit held up behind Dave Thomson and Graeme Frear cleared off for the win,the race was marred by Andy Hayes getting hurt but we've heard not to seriously.
The first race after dinner saw Daz in the premier Open race in which Greame Frear just destoyed everybody, very impressive for a 600cc bike.Daz had a great time swapping places with Paul Jeffery and three others all race untill Daz went for gold going into Mansfield with a very optimistic out braking manouvere that put him off the track, bloody good attempt though!
We watched the 600 final at the Chris Curve section to get a quick get away for the four hour trip home and could only imagine the pain Josh was in braking hard for Park Corner. The race was cut short due to Dave Thomson crashing, hope he's OK,and Josh finished a well earned 4th place.Daz had more dicing with guess who,Paul Jeffery, these two have been glued together all weekend!finishing 19th with a huge smile on his face"Best racing ever"he said.Matt Curtis recovered from his first race crash well and got into the A final.
What a fantastic weekend but I need to pull my finger out now if I want to be back racing at the next round Donington Park, still got a long list of jobs to do but all the major stuff is done.
